But on the Other Hand

(We Could Blow It)

Mike Morgan, 2007

Clay and acrylic paint

Size: 11" x 12" x 12"

Artist's statement:

This was my statement on the "debate" about global warming.

The future is represented by two renderings of the Earth.

On one hand we have five racial skin-toned faces (fingers) wearing international colored caps (fingernails), smiling on a smart and healthy world.

But on the other hand, we see horrified faces shocked at a dead, gray world.
