The Supremes Veer Right

Artist's statement:

These were my thoughts about the members of the U.S. Supreme Court, most of whom appointed George W. Bush as president in 2000.

With the additions of President George W. Bush's appointments of Samuel Alito and John Roberts to the U.S. Supreme Court, how many more unwise decisions will they make?

The United States has begun to veer toward the right of the political spectrum. Alito and Roberts will align themselves with conservative Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, and Anthony Kennedy. This will leave moderate and progressive Justices Ruth Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, David Souter, and John Paul Stevens in the minority.

The decisions of these nine people will help decide whether future generations will prosper or suffer. Only time will tell.
