Thelma Hauge

Thelma Hauge has lived in Washington all of her life. While in high school, she was encouraged by her art teacher to become a professional artist, but as with all of us, life got in the way. After raising a family and retiring from two careers, she returned to art. In 2003, she began teaching art.

Her studio is located near Ryderwood, Wash., in a beautiful rural area. She also teaches at Book 'N Brush in Chehalis and has taught at Rectangle Gallery in Centralia. Her students are of all ages and skill levels. She teaches oil, pastel, watercolor and many other mediums.

She has been honored to judge art shows at the Southwest Washington Fair for 2018 and the art show at Morgan Arts Centre for high school competition. Many of her works now reside in other countries, other states and have been purchased by local admirers. Currently, she is showing at Rectangle Gallery, Gallery 505 and Book 'N Brush.
